The AhaSlides alternative that's free for 300 players
The short versionQuack and AhaSlides do the same job: one deck that mixes scored quizzes, polls, word clouds and upvoted Q&A, joined from any phone. AhaSlides' free plan allows 50 participants and 5 quiz plus 3 poll-type questions per presentation. Quack's allows 300 players per session and up to 100 slides in any mix. Paid yearly, AhaSlides costs about the same as Quack or less, from USD 7.95 a month. Paid monthly, it starts at USD 23.95, and Quack Plus is €12.
AhaSlides puts quizzes, polls and Q&A in one slide deck, and so does Quack. The differences are the free plan and the monthly price: Quack's free plan takes up to 300 players per session with no per-deck question limit, and Plus is €12 a month, billed monthly.
Pick Quack if…
- You want up to 300 players in a session without paying, and more than 8 questions in a deck.
- You'd rather pay monthly: €12 for Plus, against USD 23.95 (Essential) or USD 49.95 (Pro) a month on AhaSlides' monthly billing.
- You want your colors and logo on every slide for €12 a month, with no annual contract.
Pick AhaSlides if…
- You present from PowerPoint or Google Slides and want the polls inside that deck. AhaSlides' add-ins do that, on the free plan too.
- You pay yearly and run big rooms. Pro is USD 11.15 a month billed yearly for up to 2,500 participants, and education plans start at USD 2.95 a month.
- You need team play, a spinner wheel for prize draws, or questions you approve before they show (Pro plan).
A session has three jobs.
Ask something and score it, read the room, take questions from the floor. One Quack deck holds all three, in whatever order the hour needs.

Six times the room on the free plan
AhaSlides' free plan takes 50 participants per presentation, with up to 5 quiz questions and 3 poll-type questions. Past those, AhaSlides limits the live session to what it calls a test-sized audience. Quack's free plan takes up to 300 players in every session, and a deck holds up to 100 slides of any type.
Monthly billing without the monthly premium
AhaSlides prices its plans for yearly billing: Essential is USD 7.95 a month and Pro USD 11.15 a month when you pay for a year, and USD 23.95 and USD 49.95 when you pay monthly. Quack Plus is €12 a month, or €120 a year, with a 14-day trial and no annual contract. It adds your colors and logo on every slide, deck co-editing and CSV exports. On AhaSlides, your own logo comes with Pro.
The room can talk back on any slide
In a Quack session, players can tap emoji reactions and send comments at any point, on every plan. The reactions float across the big screen, and the host pins a comment for everyone or hides one. Upvoted Q&A is its own slide type, also on every plan. On AhaSlides, questions from any slide start on the Essential plan, and approving questions before they show starts on Pro.
Where Quack is still catching up
So you know before you switch. Each of these is how Quack works today.
- No add-in for PowerPoint, Google Slides, Teams or Zoom yet. You present from Quack in the browser, and on Plus you can import a PowerPoint file to start from.
- No LMS integration yet (Canvas, Moodle, Google Classroom). On Plus, results export as a spreadsheet.
- A small set of templates to start from, not a library of millions of community quizzes.
- Up to 300 players per session on Free and Plus. Bigger rooms need an Enterprise agreement.
- Q&A questions appear as they are sent; they can't be held for approval first. You can pin or hide live comments.

Questions people ask
What people want settled before they move a session across.
They cover the same ground: scored quizzes, polls, word clouds and Q&A in one deck, joined from a phone browser. The differences are the free plan (300 players per session on Quack; 50 on AhaSlides, with 5 quiz and 3 poll-type questions per presentation) and the monthly price (€12 for Quack Plus, from USD 23.95 on AhaSlides).
