The Slido alternative for the whole session

The short versionQuack covers Slido's core (live polls, word clouds, upvoted Q&A) without the free plan's three-polls-per-event limit, and adds a fuller game layer: timed, scored questions in many formats, streak bonuses and a podium. Paid starts at €12 a month, billed monthly; Slido's subscriptions bill annually.

Slido is great for questions from the floor. Quack runs live Q&A with upvotes too, and adds scored quizzes, word clouds, scales and 20+ formats, free for up to 300 players, with no per-event poll limit.

One deck in running order: open with a poll, quiz through the middle, take questions at the end. Any format can go anywhere.

Pick Quack if…

  • You want scored quizzes with a leaderboard and a podium next to your Q&A and polls.
  • You want every poll, word cloud and Q&A format on the free plan, up to 100 slides per deck.
  • You want Quack AI to draft the whole session from a topic or your own material.

Pick Slido if…

  • Your Q&A runs inside Webex, Teams or PowerPoint and the native integrations are the point; Slido is part of Cisco and lives in those rooms.
  • You need to approve every audience question before it shows, for conferences with thousands of attendees; Slido's moderation (Professional plan) does that.
  • You only ever need Q&A plus a couple of polls, and a one-off event pass fits how rarely you host.

A session has three jobs.

Ask something and score it, read the room, take questions from the floor. One Quack deck holds all three, in whatever order the hour needs.

No poll limit per event

Slido's free plan allows three polls per event. A Quack deck holds up to 100 slides in any mix: polls, word clouds, scales and quiz questions, for up to 300 players, free.

Q&A, and the rest of the session too

Audience questions with upvotes are built in, and the most-voted rise to the top. So are the moments beyond Q&A: a scored quiz to lift the energy, a word cloud to open, emoji reactions floating across the big screen and a comment the host pins for everyone. One deck carries the whole arc of a session.

A price one person can expense

Quack Plus is €12 a month with a 14-day trial: no annual contract, cancel anytime. It adds your brand on every slide, deck co-editing and CSV exports. Slido's subscriptions bill annually; its one-time plans cover a single event of up to 7 days.

Where Quack is still catching up

So you know before you switch. Each of these is how Quack works today.

  • No add-in for PowerPoint, Google Slides, Teams or Zoom yet. You present from Quack in the browser, and on Plus you can import a PowerPoint file to start from.
  • No LMS integration yet (Canvas, Moodle, Google Classroom). On Plus, results export as a spreadsheet.
  • A small set of templates to start from, not a library of millions of community quizzes.
  • Up to 300 players per session on Free and Plus. Bigger rooms need an Enterprise agreement.
  • Q&A questions appear as they are sent; they can't be held for approval first. You can pin or hide live comments.

Questions people ask

What people want settled before they move a session across.

Yes. Players submit questions from their phones and upvote each other's, and the host answers the top ones live. Questions show without an approval step; if you need to approve each one first, Slido offers that on its Professional plan.
